P-Wave™ specifications
Kubota Research has extended P-Wave™ radiation system applications and performance by developing custom accessories and materials for use in conjunction with the system. Accessories include an IR Transducer and P-Wave™ Detachable Fasteners. Custom materials include PTIR™ Prepreg for composite manufacturing, ImpacGard® for safe impact protection and MemBond™ adhesive for bonding dissimilar materials and composite repair. P-Wave™ radiation systems are used for heating, softening and fusion bonding thermoplastic parts and accelerated curing of thermoset resins in composites. P-Wave™ radiation systems are efficient tools for bonding, thermoforming and consolidation of composites.
The following Table provides basic information on the P-Wave™ IR radiation units that are currently in commercial use. Kubota Research provides custom built P-Wave™ units and engineering solutions to meet customer manufacturing requirements.
